I spent a very exciting Monday afternoon at Rogers TV this week where I chatted with Host Derick Fage about New Year's Resolutions and the common mistakes that people make when setting resolutions and how to fix them.
You can watch the clip below (it should start right before I'm on, but if it doesn't, skip to the 49:29 mark):
Some of the biggest mistakes that I see people making is focusing too much on their body shape and size rather than actual behaviours that contribute to better health, trying to do too much and getting discouraged, and using exercise as punishment rather than enjoyment. This year, ditch the diet, and focus on things you can actually control:
Remember that it’s ok to start small and build on habits rather than trying to do too much out of the gate and getting discouraged. Pick one thing to focus on, and when you get the hang of that, reassess and see if you want to add something else.
If you’re a mom and you’re looking to make a radical change in 2024, you need to join Dr. Melisa and I in The Nourished Mama.
